Our Story

Fund Development for Faith Communities and Organizations

Kairos is a national Resource Development group that works with faith based communities and organizations across the country. Some call it fundraising. We call it growing generosity for mission. We have partnered with over 2,000 ministries, helping them, and the people connected to them, experience inspired generosity. A core value in our work is that we pay close attention to the individuals who engage their ministry and the needs they have for experiencing life-transforming generosity and not simply attend to the needs of the organization.

A Rich History

A rich history of leadership, stewardship, organizational health and successful fund development for ministry, Kairos was founded by Ann Rauvola Bailey in 1989 and was its CEO until 2007. In 2007 Pastors Jeff Kjellberg, who had been consulting with Kairos since 2003, and Keith Magnuson, Jeff’s lifelong friend, purchased the company. Jeff Kjellberg became the sole owner after Keith Magnuson passed away in 2014. For nearly three full decades, we have passionately helped faith communities realize their dreams for the sake of the Gospel and for the simple joy of giving themselves away in faithful mission.

Pastor Jeff Kjellberg, along with his executive team, bring over fifty years of pastoral and organizational leadership to their roles. Beyond our executive staff based in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kairos has a team of full time consultants throughout the United States. We work with over 100 congregations and organizations a year in the areas of capital appeals and holistic stewardship ministry development.

Our Vision

Kairos' vision is to "Inspire the world to be more generous and loving. One church at a time...one person at a time." At the heart of this is a deep understanding of the ministry God has given us - discipling faith based communities and organizations through a season of embracing and expanding their higher calling. We work with you, cultivating vision, faith, and courage to help you inspire generosity, embrace your ministry's missional identity, and lift up and claim the transformative power of giving.
