Tom Jolivette

Tom joined Kairos and Associates after thirty-five years of leadership ministry in the church.  Beginning with parish ministry in Eagle Grove, IA, Tom continued his ministry at Waldorf College and Luther Seminary.  During his 17 years with Waldorf, Tom served both as Vice President for Development and as the thirteenth President of the college.  He served Luther Seminary for 15 years, the last five as Vice President for Seminary Relations.

During Tom’s ministry he has been specialized in building effective fundraising programs.  He has been on the front lines of donor cultivation and solicitation, the development of institutional vision and strategy, and the building and managing of effective teams.  He brings a depth of knowledge regarding best practices and a deep desire to help leaders, congregations and organizations find ways to be at their best, for the sake of the Gospel.  As a member of the Kairos team, Tom will employ his decades of hands-on experience to help clients live out their missions.

Tom deepest experience is in major gift fundraising.  He also brings experience in planning, management, coaching and institutional leadership.  Throughout his career he has been a frequent presenter and mentor to national organizations and fund raising executives. He has also served on the international ALDE board and is a current ALDE member.

Tom sees his work with Kairos and Associates as a ministry of the church.  He sees generosity as a faith journey, learning how to live in the generosity of God by joyfully giving what we have for the sake of our neighbor.  It is never a complete journey, but one we are called to live everyday.
